This has to be one of the cleanest CG's we've been in. The owner/managers work hard to keep it that way. They have and will go out of their way to accommodate their guests. I hardily endorse this CG to anyone planning to visit this area.
We won a two night stay at an RV show. The CG was nice with a view of the lake. The spot we were originally assigned had loose sand and my TV didn't like it. Being as though it is early in the season and a week day, there was no problem relocating to another site. The down side is that there is no cable hookup or wifi. There is a tremendous presence of permanent residents. The older section reminded us of rowhouses, they were so close together. We had one station which was UNC public. It rained both the days we were there. I know more than I wanted to about about Curious George and the Muppets now. Overall I would recommend this CG for those looking for water views and family atmosphere.
This is a large campground. They have security and assistants to move you through quickly. There is just about everything you would need, restaurant, laundry, store, community center, indoor pool etc. Our site was right at the beach. Downside is that site Wifi was available for a fee of $10 per day. That was rather dear for our taste. There was a spot where you could sit outside of a building and get it free.
Very nice campground in the middle Keys. We stayed there just before the "prime season". The cost was $20 per night with 50% off PA rate. This could not be beat for the area. The cost does go up in December. Mgmt was both friendly and helpful. We are making arrangements to go there again next year.
We stayed at the Bullocksville CG. It was clean and quiet. There was an excellent view of Kerr Lake. The staff was attentive and courteous. All in all we enjoyed the weekend stay there. The cost for the water/electric sites were $20 but we got the senior's rate of $14 per night.
Plenty of shaded areas. Sites are spread apart enough to give you more enough space from neighbors. Park is large to get lost without campground maps. Pet areas are set apart from non-pet sections. Large lake area with swimming and boating. Park was clean with plenty of trash receptacles.
Very friendly mgmt. Campground is clean and convenient. Paved roads but our site was gravel and not quite level. Large swimming pool and stocked fishing pond. Very poor TV reception
Used CG as overnight stop. Large sites with full hookups. Was PA participating CG. Hence the low price. Management was friendly. They don't take credit cards but you can't beat the price.
The downside is that there is a tremendous amount of road construction going on in the area. You have to go through it to enter and leave. The upside is that it is a nice place to stay. Management is friendly and helpful. It is centrally located between Wyoming, (Devil's Tower) and the SD tourist areas. None are much more than an hour or so away. Very clean laundry room.
